The purpose of the Dayton Drum Academy encourages students' self-esteem, self-confidence, determination, perseverance, academic achievement, community involvement, and well-being through percussive performance.

We are excited to announce the launch of the Dayton Drum Academy (DDA) youth mentoring program!

The goal of the DDA is to improve the life chances of children and young people in challenging circumstances through musical, personal, social, and emotional development. The DDA will:
(1) expose youth to the percussive arts,
(2) surround youth with nurturing mentoring adults which will improve their worldview,
(3) improve academic performance, school attendance, and behavior/attitudes toward school,
(4) strengthen relationships with adults and peers, and
(5) enhance problem-solving and decision-making skills.

DDA offers 8 sessions a month. Participants can participate in each session with their monthly pass.

Sessions will return in the fall!
